Well, this guy was pretty straightforward essay on speed painting.
It took me 70 minutes from priming to finish, not counting the base
(which I had already done). Since time was running short, I started
from a black undercoat and worked my way up through very thin layers
of Dark Angel Green mixed with increasing amounts of Striking
Scorpion Green for the highlights. The topmost ones had a tiny
amount of Putrid Green thrown in. All the markings are transfers,
and the finishing details were done in regular metallics
(whaddayaknow?, the paints were still humid after all this time).
The end result came out a bit glossy (first time using flow
improver), but since it is, after all, armor, I kinda felt the gloss
was not really out of place. |
