Hi all!
This is my last paint job... I know St.Celestine is an
overdone/overviewed model this days, but maybe because it's a such
beautiful and inspiring miniature!
Since it's a commission work I was linked to a specific color scheme
(gold armour and blue cape), but I try to give her a dark feeling...
you know, inquisitors and which hunters are not so light people ;)
To achieve the effect I shaded almost everything with purple and
it's particularly evident in the gold armour where purple works very
nice with yellows.
The base is the only thing I'm not fully satisfied of... I wanted to
create a smoke-like thing, or a sort of energy aura that spread away
to emphasize the rising pose of the Celestine, but maybe I didn't
succeed in none on these :(
I guess saying it looks far better from real don't helps a lot, but
it's true.
Btw it was shaped with green stuff.
Instead I like very much the way the two cherubs turned out, I love
the contrast between organic (maybe angelic) and artificial in these
little beings and I wanted a grim look for them: I painted the skin
with a pallid tone and added some "realistic" details, like the
veins where the skin meet the tubes, and some turquoise liquid
flowing out from the metallic tubes.
Take a look at better pics here (main view):

Thanks in advance for any feedback or review you may want to leave :)
