Viraë, Queen of the Fiannas

Viraë, Queen of the Fiannas - Tom Breitwieser (Cheeba)
Description : Viraë is like the basestatue from Rackham.
I used a lot of bright colors on her though she was primed black.
The skin was based with Flat Flesh, shaded back till Cork Brown and highlightet up over Basic Skintone till Light Flesh. The armour and the purple-blue robe were done likewise! The Armour and the hammer were based with Gellow Green shaded back down till Azure and highlightet over Golden Yellow till White. the robe was based with Azure shaded with Royal Purple and highlightet with Light Sea Grey. The Green part of the robe was highlightet normaly using Black Green as base and highlightet with Deep Green and Pastel Green.
The Statue was simply cut into half and covered with some sand.

As I commented over at CMON, this is one of my new all-time favorite miniatures. Everything is so smooth, clean, and vibrant (especially considering you primed black). I really can't offer any suggestions, only accolades - well done!

Excellent work. The color pallette is just perfect for her, and the composition of the whole makes it one of my favorites for this months contest.

The statue holding her up is very cool! As commented earlier your paint is very smooth and vibrant. Skintones are amazing. A job very well done! Cheers.

This is an amazing fig. Do you have any other pix up for it?

Simply amazing. Excellent colour choices and application. I can't find anything about this that I don't like...other than the fact that it's not sitting in *my* display case. :-)

This is absolutely stunning. I hope you will add an article with demos.

Simply amazing. A superb work of art. The attention to detail is staggering; the composition inspired; and the color palette -- painfully beautiful. I have nothing but praise for this piece. A major achievement. Bravo!!!

I really like this piece. The skintones are flawless and the color transitions are sublime. A first place in my book.

Fabulous! I like this much better than the official paintjob due to your colour choices and the superior skintone you've achieved here. I'm in awe of what you've done on the loincloth. Well, I'm in awe of your skill overall. :-> Great base, too.

This is quite possibly the best painted miniature ever. I mean just look at all the blends, and the colour scheme is so co-cordinated.
