Familiar of Darkness by Michael Holzapfel (GunjiNoKanrei)

Description	:	Well, not a huge entry, but I finally have something to show for the GT again after some time of :) Unbelievable but this is actually the first Rackham mini I have painted despite owning some for 2 years at least. Anyway, this Familiar of Darkness was a lot of fun to paint and despite his size (or lack of) he took quite long to finish. I am quite pleased with the red - I started with Vallejo Black Red and added Gory Red and then flesh colors (Dwarf Flesh, Elf Flesh, Pale Flesh) for the highlights. The rust effect on the scythe was painted with succesive washes of orange-brown colors starting with Orange Brown, Parasite Brown, Red Leather and finally Dark Flesh. I like how it turned out on the back. While quite happy with the overall outcome I realized that the buttons look kinda sloppy after seeing the pictures and I managed to mess up the only eye ... but it is time to move on to another project... ;) -Michael

sweet :) very smooth and the colours are so nicely dark.. the blade is very nice too

Lovely scythe. And I like the red tones also.
