Moor Hound by MasterTickles

Moor Hound by MasterTickles
Description : For this month I decided to submit a Moor Hound. I know that this is not as complex a mini as the other submissions, but I love the way he turned out! I used Future Floor Finish for the flesh. I enjoyed blending slight lightened areas (over the viens) I decided that because Ben Seins set the eyes so far back that I would not bother doing any kind of detail. Personally I think it adds to the look not having a complex eyes. I enjoyed doing his fur, I used Reaper "Ivory" to bring out detail without going to full "Ivory". Oh BTW I used "Walnut" for the base color followed by blending "Oiled Leather" for the skin. The rocks are real granite and the static grass is Brown with dry brushed "Sunlight yellow". I also used Yellow Hair Grass and a wood rectangle. The only thing that I'm sadden about is that I'm selling him on ebay this week! :(

A larger picture would help...really like the base...the rocks and tuffs of long grass really help...

I think I would another color in fur(lightly glazed in)...would of helped...check out nature's critters and you will see what I mean...Also a bit more work on the teeth.

Like the other hound, the fur under the neck might look better if drybrushed with a little darker shade than the top. Nice base.

You've some clean work here, but some variations in skin or fur color would add a lot to this figure, as well as an eyeball and lighter color lips and gums.
