Nurgle Lord Scrotum ;)

Nurgle Lord Scrotum ;)
Description : That was quite wacky conversion. When it was done none seemed to have patience to paint it. And so mini reached me ... After couple of hours I thought about quitting too. It was definietely not an easy model.
I wanted to get a dark and dirty feel that I think suits follower of nurgle . I`ve started with the face. It was painted with only 3 colours - chaos black, bronzed flesh and a tiny bit of skull white. At first I couldn`t decide on colour of the armour - it is snot green mixed with bestial brown and then highlighted with snakebite leather and bubonic brown. I`v also given it a wash of bestial brown / blood red in a recesses.
I thought that painting all those severed haeds in similar, pale colour would be boring so I gone wild a bit :). On the other hand I`ve tried to use colours that have been already used on the model , only in different proportions.
I`ve decided not to use nmm this time (whoops, I did it again ;) ). I opted for ordinary metalics. After covering with boltgun metal, mithril silver I gave them successive washes of snakebite leather, bestial brown and bestial brown/ blood red.
When I had most of the mini painted I noticed that basically I don`t have an idea which colour to use on fur and scythe shaft. A brown , wood colour would look dull. I tought "hey, it chaos and who knows what it is made of". Purple seemd to be a good choice. But liche purple is too clean colour. I`ve added a blob of catachan green to mute it. Then I`ve started adding elf flesh for the highlights.
Base is another story. When I made it, it turned out that model does not fit it. I had to change it - added another plate made from corkboard. The fluid coming from the pipe was made using hot glue gun.
When I showed this model on headblast forum Trovarion came up with the name for it - Lord Scrotum . Yes Scrotum :D .

Heh...this figure is just not right...I do like it though (I guess that says something about me)...

I really like the colors and the composition...has a very Nurgle feel to it...

I really like all the heads...EXCEPT...the 3 heads on ground...To me they look like they are buried up to thier necks...and are just waiting for him to leave so thier buddies can dig them out...

Wow, that's an interesting sculpt, isn't it *chuckle*. Some beautiful painting going on there and I adore the base.

yay! I named him :)

I like the way the armor turned out, I am glad you found a nice scheme!

i like the conversion (even with the scrotum), the choice of colours, and the paintjob - the overall effect is very nurgle-ish. the weaker parts (IMO) are some of the heads - the sculpt is not as good as the rest (eg. huge noses) and some of the colours used on the heads don't look right or make little sense to me.

Gotta frog in your throat? ... ohhh .. I see.
Dark and dirty feel. I'll agree some of the heads don't look as good as others.

I think the colors work great. I think the touches of rust were very key to making the whole scheme work. Great piece with a great name. Like what you did with the heads. And the base is very nice.
