Elf Prince with standard by Przemek Jacko aka Szary

Elf Prince with standard by Przemek Jacko aka Szary
Description : My last work - a little converted dragon prince to Battle Standard Bearer. Mini painted especially for auction, with SENMM and NMM technic. Banner is freehanded. The blue side is based on one of the Royo`s pictures. Please note all the gems all over the mini (about 100! on barding and armour). Mini goes with scenic base (not shown on picture). I tried to paint horsie not usually and I found very rare kind of horse color. I hope you like it :)

The grey and green, to me, are a nice contrast. The green armor all looks especially well-done. The only thing I can see that might need improving - the horse's tail looks like it isn't highlighted at all on the top, and looks rough compared to the rest of the figure.

There is not much to say about this figure. It is just amazing. I like the contrasted colour choice very much. I don't even want to think about how long you must have painted the gems and armour. The banner is perfect.

Well Szary you already know my opinion on this piece - I love the banner (it`s simply amazing), but the colour choice does not match my personal tastes. For me it`s a bit dull and makes the model look cold. But that`s just my opinion :). One more thing I dislike is the horse - colour of the fur and those spots on the back are not very realistic .
Anyway it`s great model - painting all those gems must have been a real pain in the a..

Holy moly. Firstly the base is so simple, yet so great - can you tell I love bases? The green is just brilliant, the blending on the armour and horse is fantastic. The banner, oh the banner... I wish I could do freehand like that. I'm just gonna sit here for a while and stare at this guy. *sits down*

A larger pic would really help...

The colors are gorgeous...great job with the greens...the green, yellow, and blue work well together...

Think your SENMM is off on the horses head...and especially on the inside of the elfs helmet...

the blue side of the banner is great, the other side is a bit weaker. i am not too fond of the colour scheme, but the job you did on the armour which looks as if it was made of gems is very good!

Great elf! Banners are beautiful. Bases are wonderful. I've painted a unit of silver helms and I find that the manes and tails are horrible to paint since the hair is sculpted in clumps spaced too far apart ...it isn't the paint job!

Great technique, greate freehand, but why the colors? It's either too much green, or else the bright green is fighting the earthy blue, and I don't think the beige helps smooth out the battle. The brighter blues on the left picture for the banner I think work., but not the rest.

Other than the color choices, it's a beautiful paint job by all means.
