Description : First of all, I made a little conversion work on this guy. I cut off the body at the waist and then re-assembled it slightly twisted to give him a more dinamical look. I also twisted his right leg to give the effect he was turning left. Finally I cut the shield and partially re-sculpted the hand.

The painting was a pleasure and I tried a lot of new techniques. The armour was painted in a mixture of Shadow Gray, Fortress Gray and Skull White or Chaos Black. The clearest parts are SpaceWolves Gray.
The head is painted in a mixture of SpaceWolves Gray and Shadow Gray, with some Skull White in the clearest parts.
His left hand is supposed to be holding a light source. I am not sure the effect is well shown in the pictures, but I am quite happy on how it looks on real life...
The Gold NMM is made with a mixture of Chaos Black, Bestial Brown, Snakebite Leather, Sunburst Yellow, Bleached Bone and Skull White. A very thinned layer of Goblin Green was applied to give the gold a more real appearance.
The Sword is painted with Chaos Black, Fortress Gray and Skull White, and then a very thinned layer (feather technique), of Bestial Brown.

This mini is part of a diorama, and that is the reason it has no base.

Nice gems and I like what you have done with the gold NMM, it has a unique look to it.

The gold plates look really nice. Deep and rich. Skintone on the face looks a bit rough as does the metal on the shoulder guards.

I like the color scheme and pose you have. The gold parts of the armour are well done and have serious depth. I want to see the diorama!

@Slorak: I don't know why it looks rough at the upper parts of the mini, but I guess it is a camera effect, because in other pictures it doesn't look so rough (it is painted more or less at the same level than in the rest of the mini...)

I took a look at your site and the pictures are much better there. I can't really complain about picture quality as mine usually suck pretty bad! :) I really dig your gold. Cheers,

-Mike
