Boren Backslap from Reaper, back view in the painters' albums

Boren Backslap from Reaper, back view in the painters' albums
Description : Here is my version of Boren Backslap. There is another photo of his back in the painter's album under Moonglum's Album. I wanted to paint him in colors that wouldn't be too briliant and with his hat, I thought about old dirty mountain men in old cowboy movies. I painted each rat individually as I wanted to make sure they were unique, not just a field of uniform grey or brown. I've added a bunch of my other miniatures in my painter's album and am looking for criticism. Please take a look and comment. Thanks, Mark

Looks like you have good highlights on the shirt as well as the trap. Hard to really judge at this sized of a picture (meaning large) but the paint looks a tad thick. I personally don't care for the sculpted bases that reaper uses but I see you have made the best of it! Cheers.

Picture is too big for my taste. But the mini looks well painted and with loads of details.

Looks like you're headed in the right direction. The color choices are good and artistically sound. Does look like the paint my be a bit thick.

nice touch with pattern on the dog fur. The possum heads and the metal on the trunk seem a bit rough - but that is quite possibly just because it is a super close up.
