Description : I picked this mini up at GenCon this year and fully intended to sell it, but the more I looked at it the more I wanted to paint it. I bucked recent trends and actually used thicker paint than I had been, I think there is such a thing as too thin and I had definitely reached that point. I was finding it hard to get good consistent highlights. The top and inside of the cloak are a dark red highlighted with a pinkish magenta color instead of my normal orange. I had first tried this on a figure I did for a friend a month or two ago and liked the effect. There are some nicks and scrapes painted on the leather parts here and their but they're mostly too small to be seen in these pics. The steel NMM was done with a bluer highlight than normally used. There are rust effects here and there, but I didn't think a warrior like this would have overly rusty equipment so I didn't want to overdo it. Anyway, hope you all like it.

Howdy - well it seems most folks commented on the list... But here is my two cents. A top notch model! I really like the NMM. The magenta trick is something I will have to try as the effect is very nice. And the sloping part of the base is quite catching. Again top notch!
