Dwarf Engineer by Astonia

Dwarf Engineer by Astonia
Description : This is a commission piece, and he has a little scenic base as well (see www.hvminiatures.com). My biggest problem when painitng this one was the beard. It could be neither white nor red, so I had to make it light brown so it wouldn't clash with the NMM or the deep red clothes. It was my first ever dwarf, and I really liked painting him. So much actually, that I'm thinking about painting up a dwarf for GD...The gold NMM is painted using GW Scorched Brown, Bestial Brown, Snakebite Leather, VMC Sand Yellow, GW Bleached Bone and Skull White.

Aastonia, dwarves, a topic near and dear to my heart, and this is a beautifully done peice of work. Now admit it, wasn't he fun to paint?!? Hopefully we'll see some more of the wee folk from you in the future. Stellar job.

Howdy - Another very nice figure! At the moment my favorite part is the marbling on the hammer. If I had any issue, it might be that this photo seems darker than your others. Another great piece!

Beautiful work, I might have chosen a different color for the stone he is standing on to add contrast to the NMM on the boots. I also agree that the hammer on his back looks awesome.
