Mjolnir Haxelfrei painted by Avicenna

Mjolnir Haxelfrei painted by Avicenna
Description : There are really two main aspects of this model that still really jump out at me when I look at the pics (Hasslefree now have the actual mini) - the gems and his fleshtones. The fleshtones have been painted in 8+ different feathered layers starting with a mix of GW Tanned Flesh and Vallejo US Olive Drab, and highlighted with elf flesh and then ivory. This creates a smooth and natural-looking flesh tone. A mix of black and brown ink was used to create the stubble, and black brown and red ink mix was used for the blood. The gems were painted in a typical GW style, but have 10 different layers on them to create a really smooth finish. I also used more than one reflection in the gems. Once this was done I gloss varnished them to make them really pop.

I can't get over this guy, no matter how many times I see him he just gets better and better. Damn you ;)
I love the fleshtones and the gems, of course, but I also love those horns, they are great.

Howdy - just sweet - the smooth tones of the flesh carry on to the colors in the boots and the lighting on the sheild. Very nice!

Absolutely beautiful. The gems, metal and skin look flawless. The base seems weak, but the rest is perfect.
