This is a Chronopia miniature. I used Reaper and Citadel Paints. I think the rust is maybe to red let me know. I enjoyed doing the metallic shading. I used 3 metallics Copper, Gold, Silver. I used Future Floor finish as the washing medium. The skin I used black first followed by green I dry brushed the grass with yellow to help give it pop. Nuff said! Critisim or Praise please.

Metallics are dificult to photograph, but I think you should add stronger highlights and probably some deeper shading. You are right about the rust - my first thought was that you did an excellent job with the blood on the sword ;)

The rust is a bit to red but it makes a really interesting effect for the armor that i just love. The sword looks nice and bloody, just claim you meant to do it liek that. ;) I really liek the little feller.

I think the metal body armor itself is a very good color - maybe some sharp edge highlights esp. on areas like the front of the "skirt" etc. could make a big difference. Whatever mix you blended color-wise, it looks very good - keep it! In contrast, I think you could've used a darker silver for the chainmail/decorative trim since the rest of the armor is bright. The sword - yeah, the rust is a bit much. Even a light light drybrush back over of a "metal" color might've taken the edge off.

Love the armour, I think it looks fantastic! The sword does look more like blood than rust to me, also. Are his lips white...it looks kinda strange around his mouth there...

Hey Wren glad you like the armour! As for the lips its hard to see but when ever I do Orcs I usually give them pinkish hue on the lips tips of ears and nose. So it looks like white in the image but its really pinkish. Also I blended it out so its very suttle. For some reason it pops in the image.

Howdy - the armour is great! I don't mind the rust on the sword - as it could be rust AND blood - lol. peace
