Amroth Starlight by Oni

Amroth Starlight by Oni
Description : I'm rather pleased with this work myself, i attempted a new way of layering on the cloak, useing a purple mix of Liche Purple and Imperial Purple. The final highlights on the cloak is Imperial Purple mixed with Warlock Purple useing my first attempt at a wet blending. The sword was painted with metallic paint and then aged with multipul washs of green, purple and brown ink. The final effects on the sword was created by applying Tamiya Blue Clear right from the pot, the result was slight bubbleing of the metallic paint that gave it the aged and battered apperance i wanted. Unfortunatly the picture is the best the Digi cam could manage.

Good Job! If I may give some advice. Try using 2 lights next time one on each side of the mini. I like the cape color! The face is great although I just wish I could see it a little beter! Keep up the good work!

I really like the rich color you have achieved on the cape. Your wetblending resulted in very smooth transitions. Maybe you could try some bolder highlights, but this might be the picture. Hope to see more of your work in the GT :)

The purple of the cloak turned out looking very smooth, rich, and velvety - good wet blending work there.
A pity the pic is a little too dark to see the work you put into the sword and armor - maybe make the lighting a little more direct rather than high above the shoulder? I'm judging by the short shadow next to him that the light was on a pretty high angle making everything in shadow darker than it could have been.

Lovely work on the purples, and his hair looks pretty nice, too. I think some darker shading in the trim of the cloak would help the detail there stand out a bit better?

Howdy - lots of character here! I would also suggest working your lighting for photos - to help us get a better view. -peace
