The Poet AKA Inquisitorial Scribe By Modo

The Poet AKA Inquisitorial Scribe By Modo
Description : This model was meant for a little relaxing after I had used so long time on the EC.

I painted the Robe with first mixing Scorched Brown with Vermin brown. I then highlighted with adding Bronzed Flesh to the mix. The shading was done with adding dark grey to the mix.

The black paper was done with first mixing Chaos Black with Sunburst Yellow and it was then highlighted with adding Skull White to the mix.

The skin was made by mixing Dwarf Flesh with a little Chaos Black this mix. Here it is important that you still keep a human color when you add the chaos black. The mix was then slowly build up by adding more and more Skull White for each highlight stage.

The base was made out of Fimo. It was then drybrushed in this order: Black grey - Codex - White. But I blended the colors between so all in all I think I used about 7 different tones.

The water was made out of Green Stuff. And the wave splashing against the rock was made with a special gel. Ironically the color I used for the water was Vallejo Dark Sea Blue, the color was then highlighted with adding white.

Excellent rendition of this mini (a mini that I love, by the way :D)! I really like your golden brown robe! The highlights are blended perfectly, though I think the vertical folds could be blended into the lighter brown a bit better. The base is beautiful. It creates a bit of tranquillity that I think suits the mini well. /Anders

I already told how much I love the browns - again, great work :) The black paper with the white letters definitely adds to the character of the mini.
However I think the base could use some more work. Maybe add some color by adding subtle washes of brown, green and/or purple to create some diversity.

I've mentioned before how much i love the paint of this model, not to crazy for the model it self however. I just love the brown robes and the black scroll. The base is rather plain but for me it seems to fit this mini perfectly.

Great work on the face, looks like a tax collector. Makes me want to join Chaos. :-)
