It has been a few months since I have had anything to enter in the Golden Toadstool so this month I thought I would squeeze one in early.
I was commissioned by a guy at the local hobby store (2.5 hours away lol) and am a whole month ahead of schedule. I scuplted the wood on the base and a lot of extra gold. I finally was able to get a decent pic squeezed out of my Kodak camera. This is really a first for the amount of colour I used and as such I wanted to keep the mini looking a bit subdued. I used very light highlights and tried to keep the piece dark, as I thought it should be. I changed my Gold NMM and Steel NMM recipe again, this time using Smoke for shading, thanks to Trovarion for his tutorial on his Steel NMM technique. I think they turned out quite well, especially the steel.
Thanks for looking! Comments appreciated.

Nice paintjob. A little cartoonish (maybe it's the color choice) but for sure it's well done. I especially like the clothes, the face, and the shield on the belly. Less effective the NMM, needs of some more reflexes on the steel and the gold.
The pose is nice and impressive. Very neat.

I like the NMM on the gun and sword, but the chain needs more highlights IMHO.I am not sure about the parrot, his lower beak looks like a small arm. I see that the ogre has the same tailor as Lord Terminus. I also might change the color of either the eyepatch or the gloves. Still, very nice.

Its actually a gnoblar dressed as a parrot, so that is why it looks like an arm, because it is! :D

Those crazy noblars. What a great disguise. It fooled me:-)

Great figre, the gnoblar is cute... but they overall effect is pulled down by the anchor and cutlass - look like stone, not metal.

Hmmm, good job, lots of color but not offensive. Sword NMM is good, the rest needs some work. I like the skin color and I really like the base.

Probably one of the best Ogre models ever made. This guy is just so cool. I like a lot of the color choices on the model, but I must say that the yellow pants and gloves draw the eye away from the skin a lot.

Howdy - well I already told you I liked this guy - lol. I think the metal parts looks great, and I dig the unique take on the skin color. peace
