I tried this as a test figure.
I tried to muddy the whole figure up a bit, trying to show he had been through some combat (a la Cyril's Figs). I don't really like the brown muddy effect though , I think it's too brown.
I tried NMM on this fig also, a technique I am still coming to grips with although I think I am slowly improving.

Overall a good mini, in my opinion. The muddy effect is indeed too brown. Try with kaki or olive green very diluted, washing the parts, then leaving more dense spots here and there...don't be too symmetric...the blade is very good. Good job

Excellent job on the base. Also, the gold NMM looks great on the trim. And the blue on the sword also looks nice. Well done.
