Child's Dream by Arthur Muguet

Child's Dream by Arthur Muguet
Description : 'On the way home he would alaways stop and stare in wonder at the poster annoucing the coming of a circus in Town. He knew his parent couldn't afford to take him there, so he would dream up his own show, filling it up with all the wonders his child's imagination could think up'

Once in a while you get a mini that just grabs your attention and makes you want to do somthing special, to outdo yourself. And this was definetly one of them for me. I had the idea of the scenery almost staight after seeing the mini and the sculpt just appealed to me. So this one really got me motivated to try and improve and I think I did on sevral points. Of course I'm not happy with everything, but I honestly think this is my best mini so far. Anyway, tell me what you think, comments are welcomed

I really like the expression on the face and the shirt.

Thanks for sharing this piece. The colour tones used work so well to invoke that "old fashioned" feel. I think you really nailed the look on his face too.
Only constructive critisism I have is for the base. There is a lot of detail in the character and poster but the stones on the ground seem slightly out of scale. I think it is the size of the cracks.

This is a very charming scene, and I think you've captured a complex emotion very nicely with it. Paint wise, the face is the standout, and the shading on the shirt is also really great. I agree that the street and sidewalk areas of the base are a little weaker than the rest of the scene, but that's a minor point for me.
