this is my GW vostroyan and is my 1st entry into the GT so apologies for mistakes.
i did this mini in GW pints and in the nmm style bacically i worked from a black undercoat and then used codex grey blendid to white.
for the face i used bestial brown to dwarf fleash to elf flesh
my opolagies for the chips i havent got any varnish yet

I like the face, he looks weathered and cold. The shading and highlighting on the red coat are quite nicely done. There are some areas that look like they have chipped paint, I think? (some spots on the boots and pouches on his back.)

Having placed this on the base at GD UK the other week I can honestly say the photo does not do it justice. However, no varnish is not an excuse to publish your mini with paint chips :) Not sure how you are holding your mini's James when you paint them but I would advise using blue tac to stick them to an old paint pot whilst painting so you do not rub the paint away.

Nice job, it looks like the photo has been brightened too much making it seem washed out.
