The Spirit of Spring by EmptyV

The Spirit of Spring by EmptyV
Description : Hi to everybody,
here is my last creation, a particular diorama for a miniature out of the ordinary. I immediately like the elementals of the light founded in the box of Mirvilis for their dynamism. I have just seen him and I have immediately imagined him in a particular context, or, absorbed in the clouds of a peak to radiate light and sap of life to the cold nature that surrounds them. I have decided therefore to use different material to create the clouds and the peak of the mountain in which put the minis (isolation foam for the clouds and a big sheet of isolation for the mountain). The color I choice is very limited, green and yellow, to symbolize the strength of the spring on the miniatures, the grey one in different smooth for the mountain and the clouds. For the hair bestial brown as base has been used, golden yellow, light yellow (vallejo) and white pure! The body has been painted using andrea blue (vallejo) and scopion green, golden yellow and again light yellow for the clearest parts. The armor mirrors the colors of the clouds, shadow grey with skull white. For the top of the mountain I have used basalt grey with white of the vallejo colors, chaos black for the cracks and light tones of choccolate brown (vallejo) to simulate the different tonalities of the rocks. This is not seen well by the photo, but believe me, there was some differets in painting the rocks. In my personal gallery you will find more detailed pics with enlargements and the box built by me for the transporting, that can be used for an additional scenario in which insert the diorama. I hope you like

Excuse my bad English, hope I have explain it right! :-)

Beautiful work, Alessandro, the greens and the yellows look perfect. Great job on the base as well.

Truly a stunning piece. The wings are simply beautiful.

This is a very creative idea for a diorama and a great showcase for these minis. The painting is also gorgeous. I love the greens, so smooth and with a lot of depth. Just wonderful all around.
