Mike the Nurgle Standard Bearer by LavronYor

Description	:	This is my entry for Iron Painter 2 Round 2 over at Wyrd games. I really tried to stretch my painting skills and demonstrate as much freehand as possible. To start, I am very happy with the banner, It started as a piece of green stuff and the Great Unclean One is an homage to the cover of the Lost and the Damned. The GUC started as a green base on the brown and gold blended background, and was built up very slowly with the Reaper Master Series triad of olive green and finished with VGC dead flesh. I didn't want a plain back, so I did a few flies, some Nurglish border, and the Nurgle trinity symbol. The armor started as white primer, then VGC camouflage green, then a wash of VGC dark fleshtone, then VGC dead flesh. Next was a lot of cleaning up and blacklining then cleaning up again with dead flesh. His skin was done mostly with the RMS olive green triad and a few highlights with dead flesh. I tried to keep the colors used to a minimum to give continuity. Please feel free to comment.

Nice banner LavronYor, but what i like most are the bone torso and the skull, really real and splatter! Good Work!

I really like this one, it's Nurgle, but has character beyond just grossness like a lot of Nurgle stuff. The banner is especially well done, including the accessories like the severed heads. The flies are a great touch.
