Cibernetico Ippocratus

Cibernetico Ippocratus
Description : This was my entry at the italian Golden Demon where it won the gold. I am very proud of it.
The basic idea was to mix a Juggernaut of Khorne with a machinator. The idea itself was to make a metallic chimera, basically a repairman, kind a 40K doctor...
The hardest work was to delete all the Chaos symbols, to make the juggernaut possible to be used for the purpose I was picturing it in. So I erased all the spikes and the two 6-spikes croce on the rear legs. I polished the head cover (a Khorne symbol is present and I added some spare part, including a potentiated axe and a pieace of a SM pistol. I erased also the symbls on the sides of the front legs and I put a book on one side, and a servo mechanism on the other; this last one is joint to the leg through a "slice" of back pack of a SM, I found it perfect to simulate the mechanism to move the servo arm. The servo mechanism on the front legs are SM pistols with some plastic stripes from evergreen. The backpack of the machinator is from the Techmarine while the two stendards are Rhino spare parts. The machinator was cut at the waist, and joint to the Juggernaut. The freehands on the front legs mean "for the supreme artifex, I swear to preserve the Machine Spirit" while on the two stendards you can see "Adeptus Mechanicus" and "In nomine Imperatoris" (latin for "In the name of the Emperor"). Then on the rear legs I put a gear (symbol for the Adeptus Mechanicus) and a Templar Cross.
The base is also self built. It is a 6 cm round base with one 4 cm square base cut in three pieces. The pipes were colored in copper and oxydated.
I really had fun in converting and painting it and I was so happy and proud to be getting the Demon. I hope you like it too.

I've seen other pictures of this model, and I have to say that the metals are much much better than what they seem in these images! This model is amazing!

A very weird piece!! Love the freehand on this. Personnally I dislike the tank hatch banner as it just looks like tank hatches glued to a pole. Not too keen on NMM being used alongside metallics either, but thats just a personal preference. But a nice conversion none the less. congrats on the gold.

A very interesting piece. The freehand in particular is lovely. I don't think the pictures are doing the metallics justice, but the overall level of the painting leaves me confident they're superior to the photo.
