Spartan Marine by the sexy beast that is Orkydave

Description	:	This was a commission I have recently completed for a client. It is a conversion based upon Ronins Scarab Lord miniature and was great fun to work on. Hope you enjoy him, and this was entered to say thanks to Zaphod for running this- the Toadstools are a fantastic painting competition and great fun to enter. Promise I will make much more of an effort to get an entry in each month and help keep it going mate!

I like the look of this mini, the colour scheme is really good. My only small complaint would be the position of his hand on the spear, it just seem sa bit far down the shaft and hence unbalanced, but apart from that a really good mini.

Cool idea!I like the armour, maybe the red on the crest will need some additional highlight but it's nitpicking.

Lovely rich golds, and the red works nicely with it.
