My first...well, my first decent figure and paint job after the Battle of Macragge disaster.

You've got a great start on a fine mini. Let's be realistic: most are not going to vote this one to the top, because it lacks all the shading and highlighting required of a Toadstool winner. However, I think it's important for everyone to take note on what a smooth job you've done with the basics. So many painters try to leap ahead to techniques they're not ready for, and forget the basics. I'm no master painter, but I'll say you are farther ahead of the game than I was at this stage. I look forward to seeing more of your work, and watching you grow as a painter.

It sounds like you're picking up the basics quickly. This is good :-) Pretty soon you'll develop your eye for color combinations, accents, etc. You're already looking better than most armies you see out there.

Nice, clean painting, and good use of colour contrast and detailing to set the different areas of the mini apart visually.

Nice and clean! Far better than most of the regular "masterly painted" armies that I encounter from time to time, having their owners bragging about their painting skills. Wish they had half of your skills at the stage you are in. It really looks promising, but it definately needs more shading. Keep up !!

Not too much into the heavies but this is nice and clean. I would suggest perhaps picking out those big rivets in metal and maybe a next step could be a bit of rust, or fluid leaks etc...
