I've chosen to give a dark skin to this mini because I think it's more realistic. I've used a CMON tutorial for Ethnic Skintones (in particular I've used the Indians palette with Regal Blue shades).
After this I've tried my first NMM: for steel I've used Codex Gray shaded with Chaos Black, washed with Eagle Turquoise an Bestial Brown and lighted with Skull White. For gold I've used Snakebite Leather shaded with Chaos black and lighted with Skull White.
The dress is Eagle Turquoise shaded with Purple Liche and lighted with Kommando Kaki and Skull White.

The colours you've chosen complement the warm skin tone very nicely. Some of the shading on the cloth looks a little murky in spots, but the highlighting on both blues and reds is good. I love how the bird came out, very natural looking. Your NMM needs some brighter spots and a few dots and lines of white to read as a little more reflective.
