I challenged myself incredibly with this miniature. I painted extensive freehand over the back of the banner and added a considerable amount of small details on the front. On the left leg, shoulder pad and cloak trim I added more freehand.

Delurking to say: Challenging yourself has truely paid off on this one Jason. Remarkable work. Can't imagine how long it took. It's excellent!

Great job. The only thing that I can say is that the base looks a little messy. Appart from that it is spectacular. The NMM is great and so is the free handing.

Nice free hand work. The small text effect works well.
Great piece!

Jason, he looks fantastic. Only thing that detracts from him is the headlines on the banner need some tidying up, maybe look more like Imperial printing. I also know it's a pain in the but to accomplish. Can't wait to see some pictures of this a bit bigger and close up to see the details.

I'm with Sue on this one. The headline is all that stops this from being a superior piece.

I'm so partial to space marines---great job & I agree with the others on the header portion of the banner. I might have gone with a darker read for the cloak/cape, but it works!

Simply stunning, Jason! You are definitely improving by leaps and bounds. Attention to detail is the most paintstaking part of painting at this level and you are nearly there. I agree with the others about the headlines. But otyherwise a superb figure.

I agree, challenging yourself has really paid off! The banner is fantastic, both front and back. I really like the depth on the red cloak, too.
