Description : I really like Crocodile Games’ War Gods minis. I think the Egyptian Fantasy theme is a lot of fun and this is the first of my War Gods collection that I have gotten some paint on.
I wanted to create a contrast between the whites on this one. To do this I chose cool toned whites for the skin and warm toned whites for the skirt. Then I accented the whites with some “Egyptian-y” purplish blues, blacks and gold.
I used basic layering and glazing techniques with some wet blending on the blues. In the earlier stages of painting, I took pictures frequently to help keep things smooth. Nothing shows where you need more work than looking at a full screen blowup of a mini! I should have kept this up- in later stages, I just kind of “went with it” and I think it shows as a less smooth appearance in those areas.

Really nice job on the cool whites and the warm whites. He seems to be saying the Vlasic pickles are in the cold section.:-)

Howdy - overall well done. The whites don't do it for me, but they are certainly painted well. -peace

Nice job on the visually-distinct whites! The hair (the hanging ponytail part) might benefit from a few more highlights.
