Desert Flameguard by Beelzebrush

Desert Flameguard by Beelzebrush
Description : This is based on a Protectorate Flame Guard from Privateer. I added the inquisitor/klan type hood with greenstuff along with a scratchbuilt sword and a modified weapon from milliput. The painting was a bit long winded as it took ages to blend some areas. I'm fairly pleased with the NMM on this - the colours were German Grey, Imperial Blue and highlighted up by adding white. The shield was fun to paint, but quite fiddly due to having a slightly knackered brush :). I opted for a desert setting as it seemed to suit the feel of the mini. On the whole, I wanted to keep the scheme quite simple but add detail with the freehand on the shield.

Lovely freehand. Fine base. Quite nice overall.

The freehand is very well done and quite attractive, but I also really like the highlighting on the blacks and the under robe. The NMM is also very nicely done.

I particularly like how well you blended the black on this piece. I like the gothic look you have given it. Very nice work.

Great conversion. Like the base. Axe head I'm not too fond of. Freehand on the shield is superb. And good use of color.
