Wood Elf Standard

Description	:	I thought I would get my entry in early this month, but this is the elf I have been working on for the Works of Heart Katrina Relief project. I tried a number of new things on this model, most significantly being the excessive freehand throughout, which is something I've rarely done. But also I tried a new nmm style for me on the sword as well, which I'm very happy with. The colors on the sword are basecoat of shadow gray, then ice blue, then a lot of white! with dark angels green on the lower side blended straight to white. I'm not sure quite what else to discuss on this model, as much of it was just a factor of time rather than technique to get the results I was looking for. I hope you like him, thanks! -Eric

Howdy - That sword is just incredible. This is one of those paintjobs that sorta fade away (and look good in an army)but when you focus on something, it is executed so well! So many details. peace

Eric, excellent job for an excellent cause. I only managed a waywatcher and haven't seen him up on auction yet. I like the banner, it makes me think of Foreign Paper Money. (First Galadriel Bank) Beautiful job on all the greens, gems, cloaks,etc.
