As for painting it. I used Snakebite leather (gw) and golden shadow
(msp) for the skin. I layered up slowly using increasing amounts of
the golden shadow and White Linen (msp).
I am very happy with the body
and head which I sculpted before adding them to tyranid parts from GW.
I am not so pleased with the paint job on the hair. I look forward to any and all comments about this model.
The reason I sculpted my own broodlord was I did not like the sculpt by GW as it just seemed like another tyranid warrior, and not
the charismatic alien leader capable of influencing cultists and
genestealers with equal skill and deadliness. |
