How did you accomplish the effect of the explosion itself - is the ground sculpted up, or built around some other object? From: Alessandro Montoro (emptyv) @ 151.42.118.211 (Sun 25 Jun 2006 05:09:44 PM CDT) Hi darthfoley, the base is sculped and to reach this sferic effect I post a litle christmas ball in the center of the diorama and sculpt around it. At the end the christmas ball was simply sacrficated (broken) for the diorama. The sculped demon on the wall is very good and the freehand on the flag in the background also. I think at the backside of the diorama was written the story of the duel, or? The way you've painted this and the colours you've used really accents the nature of the sculpt. Great moody feel. The painting as a whole is quite nice. I think maybe he needs an area of two or brighter and/or darker colour. He's mostly midtones, so nothing really 'pops' out visually.
